Manchester United manager, Erik ten Hag, is optimistic Christian Eriksen will be available to face Tottenham Hotspur on Wednesday night.
Speaking ahead of the match, the Dutchman admitted he has missed Eriksen’s creativity against Newcastle United.
Since he arrived as a free agent, the Denmark midfielder has emerged a key player under Ten Hag.
Eriksen missed the visit of the Magpies due to illness but Ten Hag will be hoping to have him ready for the Spurs clash on Wednesday.
Ten Hag told Viaplay: “We miss him when he’s not available.
“But we have a squad and another 11 players on the pitch. So then we have to construct another team and we can bring players from the bench, who are all good.
“In our team, he really contributes to what we are at this moment. I don’t know if he will be available for Wednesday but I hope [so], of course.”
